Dear Bartlett Families,
The Bartlett PTA Board would like to welcome new families to the Bartlett community and welcome back to all of our returning families! We hope everyone had a fun and relaxing summer, and it is with enthusiasm that we get ready for what we hope will be an exciting and successful 2016-2017 school year!
The PTA is an organization that partners with parents, teachers, staff and our community to bring fun and educational programs, events, services and opportunities to our children to enrich their academic experience. Bartlett Elementary is a community based on vibrant parent involvement. Your contribution, whether it is your time, knowledge, or resources make a difference! We invite you to become an involved member of the Bartlett community by joining the Bartlett PTA.
The Bartlett PTA provides funding for field trips, birthday books, classroom library support, school library funding, creates the Bartlett Directory, organizes book fairs, STEAM night, father/daughter and mother/son events, ice cream socials, pizza parties, assemblies, field day and so much more! These events enhance your child’s educational experience and help to make our school a fun and supportive community. These activities and events require volunteers to make them successful, and ask that you become a PTA member and volunteer and become involved in our school.

THE BARTLETT PTA NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Thank you for an amazing year! This year the PTA and volunteers were able to provide many memorable experiences for every student. We could not do this without your help. However, we have many PTA members and volunteers moving on to Mountain View. Currently we do not have enough volunteers to fill our board. Unfortunately, if we do not fill certain positions by September there will be no PTA next year. Many of you who have volunteered at or attended this year’s PTA events saw how important they are to the students at Bartlett. It would be heart breaking to see them go.
All of the PTA board members who are “graduating” would love to teach the new PTA board members how to run things so there is no guessing. We understand your time is valuable and we are all busy but there is a sad reality. If we do not fill the board, there are many amazing events that will not happen next year. Some of these include the father/daughter and mother/son dance, Field Day, the book fair (which raised over $4,000.00 in books for our school this year, Thank You!), the Christmas Penguin Shop, the Easter Bunny Breakfast, funding for field trips, and movie nights. There would be no Year Book without the PTA to fund it, or volunteers to put it together.

We depend on volunteers to make these lasting memories for our children. The PTA is one general meeting and one board meeting a month with an awesome group of parents. We all work as a team for the same goal but we depend on all of you.
